Land Claiming #

On PurpurMC, your builds, chests, and automated farms are secured using our chunk-based land claim system.

1. How to Claim Land & Claim Block Rules #

Your first claim block is completely free:

  1. Open the claim interface by typing /alan or /claim.
  2. Retrieve your Free Claim Block from the menu into your inventory.
  3. Holding the block activates a live boundary preview (particles/hologram) outlining the target chunk.
  4. Place the block on the ground in the chunk you want to protect. The chunk instantly becomes your protected claim.
  5. Right-click your placed Claim Block at any time to open the claim management panel.

Claim Block Rules #

IMPORTANT
- Unbreakable Block: Once placed, the claim block cannot be broken with tools or by hand.
- Reposition via Menu Only: If you wish to relocate your block within the chunk, use the relocate option in the claim management menu.
- Original Chunk Requirement: Even as your claim expands across multiple chunks, your claim block must always remain within the original chunk where the claim was founded; it cannot be moved to expanded outer chunks.

2. Claim Levels & Territory Sizes #

The protected area expands automatically as you upgrade your claim level. Each upgrade absorbs surrounding chunks in a symmetrical grid:

LevelChunks ProtectedGrid DimensionTotal Block Area
Level 1 (Default)1 Chunk1x1 Chunk16 x 16 Blocks
Level 29 Chunks3x3 Chunks48 x 48 Blocks
Level 325 Chunks5x5 Chunks80 x 80 Blocks
Level 449 Chunks7x7 Chunks112 x 112 Blocks
Level 5 (Maximum)81 Chunks9x9 Chunks144 x 144 Blocks

3. Claim Commands #

While all operations can be performed via the interactive GUI, quick command shortcuts are available:

CommandDescription
/alan or /claimOpens the claim management menu showing owned and joined claims
/alan konumSets your custom teleport landing spot within your claim (avoids landing directly on the block)
/alan tp Teleports directly to your claim or a claim you belong to
/alan davet Invites a player to join your claim
/alan kabul Accepts a pending claim invitation
/alan red Declines a pending claim invitation

4. Roles, Permissions & PvP Rules #

Right-click your claim block and open Roles & Permissions to customize player interactions:

  • PvP Status (Permanently Disabled):

Player-versus-player combat (PvP) inside claimed land is strictly and permanently disabled; no rank, role, or setting can override this.

  • Default Stranger Restrictions:

By default, all privileges are denied to strangers. Uninvited players cannot enter the claim (entry barrier), break blocks, place blocks, or open containers.

  • Granular Role Permissions:

Configure specific permissions for each role (Leader, Admin, Member, and Strangers):

  • Example Setup: Allow strangers to enter freely (public warp/market) while restricting block placement and breaking exclusively to trusted members.
  • Configurable permissions: Claim entry, block breaking, block placing, door/trapdoor access, chest/barrel storage, redstone switches, and animal interaction.

5. Visual Border Display & Claim Settings #

Entering a claimed territory displays visual boundary particles:

  • Toggling Boundaries: If you prefer not to see boundary outlines upon entering, toggle the visual border display in the Claim Settings menu on your claim block.

6. Environmental Protection & Limits #

CAUTION
Border Griefing is Strictly Forbidden:
Unauthorized players cannot alter the interior of your claim; however, pouring lava/water right along claim borders, building unseemly obstruction towers, or purposefully vandalizing neighboring wilderness is strictly prohibited and punished with bans.
  • Owned vs. Joined Claims: Your allowance of claims you can create is independent of the number of other players' claims you can join.
  • Increasing Limits: Claim limits and member capacities can be increased by advancing through in-game Ranks or via VIP Memberships.
