Voice Chat #

PurpurMC features real-time, 3D proximity-based voice chat, allowing you to talk naturally with nearby friends and adventurers.

1. Proximity Voice Chat #

With Simple Voice Chat support, you can hear surrounding players with realistic directional audio based on their distance and relative position.

NOTE
Java Edition Only:
The Simple Voice Chat mod is exclusively available to Minecraft Java Edition players. Bedrock Edition (mobile, console, Windows 10 Bedrock) clients cannot run the client-side mod due to platform restrictions.

2. Installation & Setup Steps #

  1. Type /voicechat in chat to obtain the client mod download links.
  2. Install the matching Simple Voice Chat mod version on your Fabric or Forge client.
  3. Upon joining the server, press V to configure your microphone, speaker output, and audio levels.
  4. By default, hold down Caps Lock (push-to-talk) to speak with nearby players.
