Chat #

All players communicate across a unified, server-wide global chat network on PurpurMC. Any message you type into chat is immediately visible to all online players.

1. Chat Message Format #

Messages posted in chat follow a clean and structured layout indicating your current location and server standing:

$$\text{[Dimension]} \mid \text{[Rank / VIP]} \space \text{[PlayerName]} > \text{[Message]}$$

Format Elements #

  • Dimension: The world where your character is located when sending the message (World, Nether, End).
  • Rank / VIP: Your current in-game Rank title or your active VIP Membership tag.
  • Player Name: The sender's Minecraft username.
  • Message: The text content shared by the player.

Example Message Previews #

text TERMINAL
World | Guardian UsainSrht > Hello
Nether | VIP UsainSrht > Hello
NOTE
VIP vs Rank Priority:
If a player holds a VIP rank, the chat prefix prioritizes the VIP tag over the in-game tier title. However, your in-game rank remains fully visible on your interactive player hover card.

2. Interactive Player Hover Card #

Usernames in chat are interactive. Hovering your mouse over any player's name reveals a comprehensive info card:

Displayed InformationDescription
RankThe player's actual in-game rank (displayed here even if they hold a VIP rank)
PP BalanceThe player's current PP wallet balance
Current DimensionThe specific world where the player is currently located (World, Nether, End)
Date & TimestampThe exact date, hour, and minute when the message was posted

3. Chat Security and Rules #

To maintain a respectful, enjoyable, and welcoming chat environment, automated filters and moderation policies are strictly enforced:

Spam Protection (Duplicate Message Prevention) #

  • To prevent spam and chat flooding, an automated spam prevention filter is active.
  • You cannot send identical duplicate messages in quick succession.
  • Attempting to send repetitive text will be blocked by the system with a warning prompt.

Mute System #

  • Violating chat rules (insults, swearing, advertising, harassment, staff impersonation, etc.) will result in an automated or staff-issued mute.
  • Muted players cannot send any messages to chat until their penalty duration expires.
